LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 08, 2008) - The St. Mary's County Board of Education announced three administrative appointments its meeting of April 30, 2008.
The Board appointed Lisa Longworth to the position of 11-month school psychologist in the Department of Pupil Services. She has served as a 10-month school psychologist since joining the school system in August 1996. Ms. Longworth's experience also includes serving as a school psychologist for the Beaufort County School District in S.C., a neuron-psychometric testing specialist with the Georgia Neurological Institute in GA, and a social services specialist with the Chatham County Department of Family and Children Services in GA. She obtained an education specialist degree in school psychology, a Master's degree in school psychology, and a Bachelor's degree in psychology all from the Georgia Southern University. This appointment becomes effective July 1, 2008.
Ms. Carol Klenk was also appointed to the position of 11-month school psychologist in the Department of Pupil Services where she has served as a 10-month school psychologist since joining the school system in August 2001. Prior to joining the school system, Ms. Klenk served as a family therapist for Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA. She earned her certification in school psychology from Millersville University, her Master of Science degree in mental health counseling from Shippensburg University, and her Bachelor of Arts degrees in political science/communication arts from Hood College. This appointment becomes effective July 1, 2008.
Ms. Nikki Dalrymple was named programmer/analyst in the Department of Information Technology. Ms. Dalrymple joins the school system from Community Bank of Tri-County in Waldorf, MD, where she served as a network administrator. Her experience also includes serving as an assistant network administrator, help desk specialist, IT assistant, and bank teller. Ms. Dalrymple earned an Associates of Arts degree in Information Services Technology from the College of Southern Maryland in 2007. This appointment becomes effective immediately.
