LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 02, 2008)—Christopher Michael Holland, age 31, of Leonardtown, was arrested on Thursday and charged with four counts of child sexual molestation, and four counts of sexual abuse of a child.

According to the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office, Holland sexually molested a three-year-old child on four separate occasions over the past year.

The Sheriff's Office would not release any information regarding the identity of the victim. According to Deputy Cindy Allen, Public Information Officer, "The SMCSO will not release any information which may identify a victim of a sex offense."

The arrest was the result of a joint investigation by the St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI).

According to Allen, "The FBI is involved because Mr. Holland was in possession of animated child pornography which is in violation of a federal statue."

Holland is currently being held in the St. Mary's County Detention Center on a $300,000 cash bond.
