Wal-Mart Gifts $1000 to Calvert Sheriff for Youth Bicycle Programs

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (April 22, 2008)—On April 15, Laurie Bennett, manager of the Wal-Mart store in Dunkirk presented a check to Calvert County Sheriff Mike Evans for $1000. Evans says the money will assist the Sheriff's Office Bike Patrol Team in its' continuing effort to provide bike rodeos and training seminars to the youth of Calvert County. The funds will also be used to purchase bike helmets that will be donated to local children who attend the training sessions and are otherwise unable to afford one.
