Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (April 22, 2008) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office recently released the following incident and arrest reports.

DOP: Dep. Andrew Clas responded to a victim on Costley Way in Prince Frederick who advised that unknown suspect(s) had smashed the driver's door window and taken a Tom Tom GPS valued at $330 and two cell phone chargers from inside his vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot behind the shopping center. The damage is estimated at $500. The theft happened on April 14 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Saturday April 19 at 4:00 p.m. DFC James Bell was on foot patrol on Solomons Island when he noticed a disturbance between the Grill Sergeant and the Tiki Bar restaurants. Bouncers from the Tiki Bar were physically escorting an apparently inebriated customer from the premises. The customer continued to cause a disturbance by yelling obscenities. He was asked to refrain from using profanities but did not do so. Clint R. Sutton, 34 of Laurel, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

ASSAULT: Dep. Andrew Clas responded to the front gate of the Navy Recreation Center in Solomons on April 19 at 12:30 a.m. for a reported assault. The victim, a 24-year-old male from Conway, NC, advised that he had been in the parking lot of the Solomons Fastop when three unknown suspects approached him and started an altercation. One of the suspects punched the victim in the eye then took off running. He was transported via ambulance to CMH for his injuries. No suspects could be located.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Melissa K. Tuzzo, 21 of Lusby, on April 18 at 6:30 p.m. on Solomons Island Road near Lore Road in Solomons when she continually cursed at a friend in a public area after being told not to. She was charged with disorderly conduct.

THEFT: Two street signs, Fawn Lane and Saffron Lane, were stolen from the pole they were attached to in Owings on April 19 between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Christopher Wells at 410-535-2800.

ASSAULT, RESISTING ARREST, CDS VIOLATION: Cpl. Richard Wilson observed a large group of people gathered in the parking lot of the McDonald's in Prince Frederick on April 19 at 12:50 a.m. and noticed that one individual was yelling and slamming his hands on a parked vehicle. Cpl. Wilson approached the subject, later identified as Robert H. Wallace, 18 of St. Leonard, in an effort to determine what the problem was but Wallace was uncooperative. Wallace was subsequently arrested for assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. A search incident to arrest revealed suspected marijuana. He was also charged with possession of marijuana. A juvenile also at the scene was arrested and charged with hindering on a youth report and released to a parent. The seventeen-year-old male is from Lusby.

DISORDERLY, RESISTING ARREST: An employee of Catamarans Restaurant was escorting a subject from the establishment when the subject turned and pushed him on April 19 at 12:05 a.m. DFC Michael Tomlinson observed the altercation and approached the subject, later identified as George T. Young, 22 of Callaway, and gave several verbal commands, which Young ignored. Young was arrested by DFC Tomlinson and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
