LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 11, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) recently released the following incident and arrest reports.
THEFT: On Monday April 7, 2008 at 10:42 am, Joseph Marvin Clinton, 44, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC M. Moore for Theft Under $100. A broadcast was made for a Theft in progress at the Food Lion in Lexington Park. TFC Moore arrived and made contact with the complainant, an employee of the store. She advised Mr. Clinton was inside the Food Lion store putting various grocery items inside his clothing. When Mr. Clinton exited the store TFC Moore took Mr. Clinton into custody for Shoplifting/Theft Under $100. Mr. Clinton could not produce a sales receipt for the items in his possession which were taken from the store. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
ASSAULT BY GIRLFRIEND: On Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 11:58 am, Whitney Myleka Glover, 21, of California was arrested by Cpl. S. Koch for Domestic Assault. Cpl. Koch responded to the 22000 block of Laurel Glen Drive in California for the reported disturbance. Upon arrival contact was made with the victim who advised he had been assaulted by his girlfriend. She was interviewed, taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was detained pending a bond review.
SUSPENDED LICENSE, ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 12:17 pm, Mary Margaret Burch, 39, of Hollywood was arrested by TFC R. Rezza for Driving on a Suspended License and possession of CDS - not Marijuana. A broadcast was given that Ms. Burch was driving a red and white Dodge truck on south bound Route 5 in Mechanicsville. TFC Rezza observed the vehicle and confirmed through his in-car computer that Ms. Burch's driving privileges were suspended. A traffic stop was initiated and she was taken into custody for driving on a suspended license. A search incident to the arrest revealed she was in possession of a prescription medication not prescribed to her. Ms. Burch was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 3:00 pm, Kelly Marie Abell, 20, of Leonardtown was arrested by Tpr. K. Roby for possession of Marijuana. Ms. Abell was a passenger in a red Toyota Camry when the vehicle was stopped for an equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver and a distinct odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, a Newport cigarette box containing a burnt Marijuana cigar was found in the vehicle. Ms. Abell was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was detained pending a bond review.
WARRANT ARREST: On Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 1:25 pm, Leslie Ann Gross, 46, of Leonardtown was arrested by Officer Padgett, of the Charles County Sheriff's Office on an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-12283) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on July 31, 2006. The original charge was CDS possession not Marijuana. Ms. Gross was taken into custody and transported to the Charles County Detention Center in Plata where she was detained pending a bond review.
WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 1:14 pm, Mary Christine Keller, 45, of Lusby was arrested by Tpr. M. Pitcher on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13354) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Calvert County on April 3, 2008. The original charge was DWI/DUI and Driving under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. She was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was detained pending a bond review.
