St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 21, 2008) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department recently released the following incident and arrest reports.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On March 17, at approximately 10:50 p.m., Deputy James Stone stopped a motor vehicle driven by Dovon Domomique Gray, 20 of Upper Marlboro, for an equipment violation. When Deputy Stone contacted Gray he could smell a strong odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Deputy Stone conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle which resulted in the recovery of a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana. The probable cause search also resulted in the discovery of trace amounts of suspected marijuana on the front passenger floor board of the vehicle. Gray and the front passenger, Jeremy Keshane Bradshaw, Sr. 19 of Landover, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance - marijuana.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On March 18, at approximately 12:38 a.m.. deputies responded to Donovan's Pub in California for a report of a disturbance. As deputies were conducting interviews in an effort to determine the cause of the disturbance, Jessika Leigh Griffin, 23 of Hollywood, walked toward the deputies and began yelling at the subjects the deputies were interviewing. Griffin was escorted away from the interviews to the other side of the parking lot. Griffin then began yelling profanities across the parking lot. Griffin was ordered to stop her disorderly behavior and profane language. Griffin continued to yell profanity causing several people to exit the business and form a crowd in the parking lot. Dfc. Sarah Lacey arrested Griffin and charged her with disorderly conduct and failing to obey a law order of a police officer.
