MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (March 14, 2008) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) recently released the following incident and arrest reports.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On March 6 at 2:30 pm, Trooper Towers stopped a vehicle for a seatbelt violation on HG Trueman Rd in Lusby. Tpr. Towers requested consent from the driver to search the vehicle. During the search, a passenger was found to be in possession of a Marijuana pipe. Francis Chamberlain, age 21 from Lusby, was arrested and charged with possession of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On March 6 at 5:16 pm, Trooper Towers stopped a vehicle for speeding on Route 4 at Calvert Beach Rd. The driver was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. After arresting the driver, troopers approached the passenger and observed him attempting to swallow Marijuana. Tarvio Jenkins, age 27 from Sunderland, was arrested and charged with possession of Marijuana.

POSSESSION OF COCAINE: On March 7 at 2:09 pm, Corporal Linger stopped a vehicle for a seatbelt violation on Old Field Lane at Main Street. The driver, Lawrence Rollins, age 29 of Lothian, was placed under arrest for providing a false name to the trooper. His license was found to be revoked. While searching the vehicle, troopers found a pipe containing cocaine residue. Rollins was charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. A passenger, Sharon Worthy, age 46 of Prince Frederick, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.

BURGLARY: On March 7 at 7:34 am, Trooper First Class Bowling responded to the Calvert Professional Building on Stoakley Rd for a report of a burglary. It was discovered that a doctor's office was broken into, the office ransacked and a small amount of money was stolen from a desk drawer. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Maryland State Police Barrack (410) 535-1400.

BURGLARY: On March 10 at 2:54 pm, Trooper Wiersma responded to a residence on Century Manor Drive in Dunkirk for a report of a burglary. The homeowner discovered that a side door to the garage was forced open and a yellow and black 2002 Suzuki GSXR-750, three motorcycle helmets and two leather jackets were stolen from the garage. A witness reported seeing an 80's model white Ford Ranger pickup operated by a young white male driving by the victim's residence earlier in the day. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Maryland State Police Barrack (410) 535-1400.
