Indian Head Man Found Dead From Gunshots, Homicide Assumed


LA PLATA, Md. (March 12, 2008)—An Indian Head man was discovered in his home Tuesday morning dead from apparent gun shot wounds.

At 5:58 a.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the residence in the 4400 block of Livingston Road in Indian Head after receiving a report of a shooting.

Police found Austin Demetrius Brown, 37, who they believe had been shot in his home several hours earlier. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.

Brown’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore to determine the official cause and manner of death.

Charles County detectives are investigating the shooting as a homicide.
