MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Feb. 21, 2008) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT/MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Feb. 13 @ 9:05 pm, S. Jones, age 18 of Sixes Road, Prince Frederick, reported that someone broke the driver’s side window of her car and stole a Nano I-Pod and I-Pod car charger while it was parked on Steeple Chase Road, Prince Frederick. No suspects have been developed, and the investigation is continuing by TPR K. Donaldson.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Feb. 13 @ 10:30 pm, Trooper K. Donaldson responded to Central Square Drive, Prince Frederick, for another report of windows broken on a vehicle. The victim, B. Gillespie of St. Leonard, had her driver’s window broken out of her vehicle while she was in the Outback on Central Square Drive. No suspects have been developed, and the investigation is continuing.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Feb. 14 @ 11:45 pm, Brandy Way Karis, age 25, of Chesapeake Beach, was arrested for DUI. Karis was stopped by TFC C. Dawson at SB MD Route 4 @ Lyons Creek Road, Dunkirk, MD. Search incident to her arrest revealed that Karis was in possession of suspected PCP and PCP paraphernalia. Karis was charged with Possession of CDS, and taken to the Calvert County Detention Center to away a hearing with the District Court commissioner.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Feb. 15 @ 10:10 pm, TFC J. Ewig responded to Busters Lane, Owings, for the report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon his arrival, TFC Ewig found a Toyota Camry which was disabled in the embankment. I made contact with the complainant who advised that the Toyota Camry had in fact driven through his yard and his neighbor’s yard. The complainant further advised that he observed the driver, later identified as Robert Joseph Daniels, Jr., age 49, of Prince Frederick, exit the vehicle. TFC Ewig located the driver, Daniels, and immediately detected the odor of alcohol. Daniels was placed under arrest for DUI. Search incident to arrest, revealed that Daniels was in possession of CDS (marijuana). Daniels was also charged with Possession of CDS, processed at the MSP Prince Frederick Barrack, and taken to the Calvert County Detention Center.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Feb. 16 @ 3:34 am, TPR J. Towers responded to a private residence on Huron Drive, in Lusby, for a malicious destruction of property. Upon TPR Towers’ arrival, it was determined that suspect(s) maliciously damaged the victim’s vehicle which was a 1995 BMW. There are no suspects at this time. The investigation continues by TPR Towers.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Feb. 16 @ 8:57 pm, TFC J. Ewig responded to a private residence in Chesapeake Beach for the report of a destruction of property. Upon TFC Ewig’s arrival, it was determined that unknown suspect(s) had shot out the side door window with a possible BB projectile. There are no suspects at this time, and the investigation is continuing by TFC Ewig.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Feb. 17 @ 12:00 pm, TFC M. Murphy responded to the parking lot of the Prince Frederick Shopping Center, for the report of a destruction of property. It was determined by TFC Murphy that unknown suspect(s) had scratched the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle which was a 2008 Toyota Camry. No suspects have been developed at this time, and the investigation is continuing by TFC Murphy.
