MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Feb. 21, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Friday, February 15 at 1:10 am, Evelyn Virginia Dean, 36, of Lexington Park and William Terrance Campbell, 32, of Park Hall were arrested by TFC J. Linger for possession of Cocaine and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Ms. Dean was operating a red Subaru Legacy on Route 235 in Dameron when she was stopped for an equipment violation. During the course of the traffic stop both Ms. Dean and Mr. Campbell were found to in possession of Cocaine and CDS paraphernalia. They were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were held pending a bond review.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Monday, February 18 at 12:59 am, Shamika Lacole Noel, 25, of Hollywood was arrested by TFC J. Linger for possession of Marijuana. TFC J. Linger was patrolling the Hollywood Volunteer Parking lot as a result of a Criminal Interdiction initiative. He approached a white Ford Focus and the driver's side rear window was down. A strong odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. During the course of the investigation, TFC Linger later made contact with the operator, Ms. Noel and a partially burnt marijuana cigar was located in the vehicle. Ms. Noel was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was charged with possession of Marijuana and detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Monday, February 18 at 11:30 pm, Duane Allen Edwards, 24, of Waldorf was arrested by Tpr. B. McCartney on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13277) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on February 1, 2008. The original charge was Driving While Suspended. Mr. Edwards was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, February 20 at 3:08 am, Steven Allen Brooks, 20, of Hollywood was arrested by TFC J. Linger on an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-13279) for Theft Over $500 and Malicious Destruction of Property. Mr. Brooks was taken into custody at St. Mary's Hospital and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
