LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT: On Monday, February 11 at 6:09 pm, Lance Kelem Cutchember, 26, of Ridge was arrested by TFC L. Nims for Domestic Assault. TFC Nims responded to the 13000 block of Point Lookout Road in Ridge for the reported disturbance. Upon arrival contact was made with the female complainant who advised she had been assaulted by Lance Cutchember who had left the residence. Mr. Cutchember was later located in the Ridge area and was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Wednesday, February 13 at 10:58 pm, Tpr. C. Evans initiated a traffic stop on north bound Route 235 south of Route 245 in Hollywood. Contact was made with the driver, Joseph Albert Baker, Jr., 18, of Lusby and a strong odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop the driver, Mr. Baker and the two passengers, David Andrew Spears, 19, of Hollywood and Keith Sebastian Brown, 18, of Lexington Park were found to be in possession of seven small bags of Cocaine and a partially burnt Marijuana cigar. All three subjects were charged with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Marijuana. Mr. Baker was also charged with Driving Without a License. They were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were detained pending a bond review.
SUSPENDED LICENSE, ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Thursday, February 14 at 12:20 am, Joshua Allan Young, 22, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC J. Linger for Possession of Marijuana. Mr. Young was stopped while operating a white Pontiac Grand Am on Route 246 in the area of Suburban Drive in Lexington for an equipment violation. A routine MVA check revealed Mr. Young's driving privileges were suspended and he was subsequently arrested. A search incident to the arrest revealed Mr. Young was in possession of Marijuana. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Thursday, February 14 at 3:40 pm, TFC L. Nims responded to the area of the Outback Steakhouse Restaurant in California for a reported CDS violation. Upon arrival TFC Nims located Timothy David Porch, 24, of California. A strong odor of burnt marijuana was emanating from the vehicle. During the course of the investigation, a clear baggie of marijuana was located in the vehicle in addition to two CDS smoking devices containing burnt marijuana. Mr. Porch is being charged on a Criminal Summons for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. He was released at the scene.
WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, February 13 at 10:00 am Dale Warren Edwards, Sr., 42, of Forestville was arrested by Tpr. D. Brill on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-12925) for Failing to Appear in District Court on July 3, 2007. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. Mr. Edwards was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, February 13 at 10:02 pm, James Charles Briggs, 22, of Hyannis, MA was arrested by TFC M. Moore on an outstanding Circuit Court Warrant (T3-13230) for Failing to Appear for Arraignment on January 7, 2008. The original charge was False Statement to an Officer. Mr. Briggs was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
