PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Feb. 13, 2008) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
THEFT FROM AUTO: Dep. David Canning took a report from a victim at the Park & Ride at Md. Rts. 2&4 in Sunderland on February 7. The victim advised that his car stereo and various tools had been taken from his vehicle that day between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The Alpine stereo is valued at $350; the plumbing tools (a Craftsman ratchet set, Ryobi power drill and other miscellaneous tools) are valued at $1000. ILLEGAL DRUGS: A sixteen-year-old male from Owings was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on a youth report on February 8 at 7:55 p.m. after Dep. Sarra Daniels conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle he was driving on Md. Rt. 260 in Owings. The juvenile was released to a parent. A seventeen-year-old male and another sixteen-year-old male were in the vehicle but were not charged.
THEFT FROM AUTO: A victim on Cattle Drive Lane in Lusby advised Dep. Andrew Woodford that her purse, mobile phone and pink Nano I Pod were stolen from inside her unlocked vehicle that had been parked in her driveway overnight between February 8 and 9. The stolen items total $408 in value. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Woodford at 410-535-2800.
BURGLARY: Dep. Sarra Daniels responded to a home on Cattle Lane in Lusby when the homeowner called to report a burglary. The victim stated that he awoke at about 11:00 p.m. on February 9 because his dog was barking. He looked outside and observed two white males running away from the shed. The victim went outside and saw his generator, saw and leaf blower lying in the wet leaves. Nothing appeared to be missing. Dep. Daniels will continue the investigation.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: Dep. Roscoe Kreps conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Sherry Lane and Md. Rt. 4 in Prince Frederick on February 9 at 11:56 p.m. The driver, later identified as Arika Jean Parker, 18 of Prince Frederick and single passenger, Andre Steven Howe, 23 of Huntingtown, were both found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. They were both arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
THEFT FROM AUTO: Dep. Seth Mitchell responded to a home on 5th Street in North Beach on February 10 after a victim called to report a theft from vehicle. The victim advised that on that date between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. unknown suspect(s) had broken into his vehicle and stolen his Magellan Maestro 3100 Global Positioning System, valued at $140 and Motorola cellular hands free device, valued at $60.
