LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Feb. 11, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
REVOKED LICENSE, ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Thursday, February 7 at 2:30 pm, Rhonda Ann Harmel, 37, of Waldorf was arrested by TFC R. Rezza for driving on a suspended and revoked license in addition to possession of prescription medications not prescribed to her. Ms. Harmel was involved in a motor vehicle accident at Route 5 and Route 245 in Leonardtown. During the course of the accident investigation, a MVA check revealed Ms. Harmel's driving privileges were both suspended and revoked and she was taken into custody. Ms. Harnel was found to be in possession of prescription medications not prescribed to her. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was detained pending a bond review.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT: On Thursday, February 7 at 8:51 pm, Robert Charles Osborne, 22, of Hollywood was arrested by Tpr. D. Brill for Domestic Assault 2nd Degree. Tpr. D. Brill responded to St. Mary's Hospital and made contact with the female complainant who advised she was assaulted by Mr. Osborne. Tpr. D. Brill responded to the residence in the 44000 block of Joy Chapel Road in Hollywood and made contact with Mr. Osborne who was subsequently arrested for the assaulting the complainant. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
DUI, ILLEGAL DRUGS, SUSPENDED LICENSE: On Friday, February 8 at 4:08 am, Dion Robert Butler, 22, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. M. Adams for DUI, Driving While Suspended and Possession of Marijuana. Tpr. M. Adams observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Cadillac Jacks. Mr. Butler was in the driver's seat slumped against the center console. Contact was made with Mr. Butler and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath. During the course of the investigation, a MVA check revealed Mr. Butler's driving privileges were suspended. As Mr. Butler was exiting the vehicle a baggie of Marijuana was observed in plain view on Mr. Butler's person fall to the ground. A search of the vehicle incident to the arrest revealed a 2nd baggie of Marijuana and a partially burnt Marijuana cigar located in the vehicle. Mr. Butler was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
RECIPROCAL DOMESTIC ASSAULT: On Saturday, February 9 at 10:37 am, TFC M. Grimes responded to a reported disturbance in the 22000 block of Clipper Drive in Great Mills. Upon arrival contact was made with Lyn Virginia Keesee, 23, of Great Mills and Phillip Lee Parsons, 27, of Great Mills. During the course of the investigation it was determined that both individuals assaulted each other. They were both arrested for Domestic Assault 2nd Degree and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were detained pending a bond review.
ASSAULT: On Sunday, February 10 at 12:29 am, TFC M. Laney was conducting a Premise Check at the Dew Drop Inn, 23955 Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood. TFC M. Laney observed Tony Raymond Bean, 29, of California assault a male employee of the establishment. Mr. Bean was arrested for Assault and Disorderly Conduct and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
SUSPENDED LICENSE, ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Sunday, February 10 at 10:45 am, Courtney Leigh Quade, 28, of California was arrested by TFC M. Grimes for Possession of CDS / Prescription Medication not prescribed to her. On Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 10:09 am, Ms. Quade was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. A MVA check revealed her driver's license was suspended. Ms. Quade was issued a Prelimiary Inquiry court date of February 22, 2008 and released at the scene. The following day, Ms. Quade was observed driving on Pegg Road in Lexington Park by TFC M. Grimes and was stopped for driving on a suspended license for which she was arrested. A search incident to the arrest revealed she was in possession of prescription medication not prescribed to her. She was charged accordingly and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review.
THEFT: On Sunday, February 10 at 11:18 am, Tpr. C. Evans responded to the 20000 block of Heather Lane in Callaway for the reported Theft from Motor Vehicle. Contact was made with the male complainant who advised unknown suspect(s) stole a DeWalt radio valued at $200.00 and a DeWalt 64cc, Cutquick brick cutting saw, valued at $892.45 and a diamond tip saw blade, valued at $250.00. Total loss of property stolen was $1,342.45. The investigation continues.
