MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Feb. 8, 2008) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: On Monday, February 4, 2008 at 5:29 pm, Mohammad Furqan, 38, of Waldorf was arrested by Tpr. D. Brill for a Domestic Assault 2nd Degree. Tpr. Brill responded to Route 5 at Old Village Road in Mechanicsville for the reported Disturbance. During the course of the investigation Mr. Furqan was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

DAUGHTER STEALS FROM MOM: On Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 6:38 pm, Tpr. D. Brill responded to the 47000 block of Piper Court for the reported Theft under $500. Contact was made with the male complainant who advised his 17 year old daughter stole $120.00 from his wife. The juvenile was charged accordingly and released to her father pending further action by Juvenile Services.

SUSPENDED LICENSE, ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 12:41 am, Peter Donald Neufville, 27, of Greensboro, NC was arrested by TFC K. Lashley for Driving on a Suspended out of state License. Mr. Neufville was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit while operating a white Chrysler Sebring on Route 5 north of Route 249 in Leonardtown. During the course of the traffic stop, a MVA check was made which revealed Mr. Neufville's driving privileges are suspended. A search of the vehicle incident to arrest revealed the passenger, Damian Taron Jones, 24, of Louisburg, NC was in possession of a baggie of Marijuana. Both Mr. Neufville and Mr. Jones were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Friday, February 1, 2008 at 3:40 pm, William Anthony Stokes, 57, of Temple Hills was arrested by TFC J. Linger on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-12797) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown April 10, 2007. The original charge was Driving While Suspended. Mr. Stokes was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 1:25 pm, Marian Lugina Thurmon, 55, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton on an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-13273) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on February 1, 2008. The original charge was Theft under $100.00. Ms. Thurmon was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 5:22 pm, Christopher Joseph Pennington, 18, of Leonardtown was arrested by TFC E. Evans on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13272) for Failing to Appear in District Court on February 1, 2008. The original charge was Possession of a Concealed Deadly Weapon and Possession of Marijuana and CDS Paraphernalia. Mr. Pennington was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 6:20 am, Thomas Erick Pinekenstein, 29, of California was arrested by Tpr. M. Adams on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13271) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on January 31, 2008. The original charge was Assault 2nd Degree. The warrant was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained on unrelated charges.
