LA PLATA, Md. (Feb. 1, 2008) - The Charles County Sheriff's Department yesterday released the following incident and arrest reports.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Jan. 31 at 2:33 a.m., Charles County Sheriffs Officer C. Collins stopped an Acura on Route 210 near First Street in Indian Head. Investigation revealed the driver, Gary Michael Williams, 42, of Welcome, was wanted. A subsequent search revealed Williams was in possession of marijuana, cocaine, PCP and paraphernalia. Williams was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, cocaine, PCP and drug paraphernalia. He was also served the warrant charging him with failing to appear in court for constructive criminal contempt. Williams was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner.
POSSESSION OF COCAINE: On Jan. 30 at 9:44 p.m., Charles County Sheriffs Cpl. R. Padgett and Sgt. J. Stoddard stopped a Cadillac on Route 210 near Woodland Drive in Indian Head for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed the passenger, Connie Sue Keller, 40, of Indian Head was in possession of crack cocaine. Keller was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Jan. 30 at 7:07 p.m., Charles County Sheriffs Officer M. OShields discovered a Ford Crown Victoria displaying a stolen tag in the 100 block of Chinaberry Lane in Indian Head. When officers approached the vehicle, Mark Auther Thompson, 28, of Indian Head became disorderly and failed to comply with officers orders. Thompson was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, hindering and failure to obey a lawful order. He was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner. The stolen tag investigation is on going.
