MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Jan. 24, 2008) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

SHOPLIFTING: On Jan. 15, 2:00 PM, Calvert Control gave a look-out for a shoplifting suspect leaving the Dunkirk Wal-Mart. Investigation revealed that the suspect had concealed merchandise in a bag and then attempted to leave the store without paying. An employee attempted to retrieve the merchandise, but the suspect ran from the store. TFC Ewig observed the suspect in the parking lot and returned her to the store. Arrested for theft (-$500) was Bonita Latayon Blalock, 43, of Washington, DC. A computer check revealed that Ms. Blalock was also wanted by the CCSO on an open warrant for theft. After processing, she was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Jan. 19, between 4:30 AM and 4:45 AM, a group of unknown suspects vandalized two mailboxes and broke a streetlight with rocks along Hunting Creek Rd., Huntingtown. TPR Stern is handling the investigation.
