Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Jan. 17, 2008) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DOP: Dep. Michael Mudd responded to the boat ramp on Hance Road in Port Republic on January 7 for the report of a destruction of property. Residents of the area advised that the electric meter at the boat ramp had been smashed and two boats had been pulled off the rack and thrown in the water. The damage is estimated at $125. ILLEGAL DRUGS: On January 7 at 11:21 p.m., Dep. Elvis Carter conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Md. Rt. 2 and Wayside Drive in Sunderland. The driver, later identified as Andrew T. Wilt, 20 of Chesapeake Beach, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

THEFT: DFC Elvis Carter took the report of a stolen catalytic converter, valued at $800, from a victim who reported the converter was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at the park and ride on Fairground Road in Prince Frederick. The victim parked his vehicle on January 9 at 6:50 a.m. and returned the same day at 7:15 p.m. DFC Carter is continuing the investigation.

DOP: Dep. James Morgan responded to Lake Lariat in Lusby on January 10 at 8:50 a.m. A Chesapeake Ranch Estates security guard advised that a walkway leading from the parking lot down to the lake had been damaged. The pickets of a railing appeared to have been kicked out and one eight foot railing was knocked off. The security guard believes the damage, in the amount of $500, occurred sometime the previous evening. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Morgan at 410-535-2800.

BURGLARY: On January 10 Dep. Edwin Bradley learned that a home next to the Prince Frederick Walmart had been burglarized and that the suspects were living inside the home. Dep. Bradley arrested Colleen T. Richmond, 55, James M. Richmond, 48 and Jeannine K. Mazza, 65, all of no fixed address, and charged each of them with fourth degree burglary.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE: A victim reported to Dep. Michael Mudd that his 1997 green Saturn 4 door SL2 sedan was stolen as it was parked in the 2200 block of Hallowing Point Road in Prince Frederick. The date of the theft is unknown because the vehicle had been parked there for approximately three months before the victim discovered it missing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Mudd at 410-535-2800.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: Dep. Edwin Bradley conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Stamper Court and Old Field Lane in Prince Frederick on January 11 at 3:45 in the morning. The driver was found to be driving while intoxicated and in possession of drugs. Dep. Bradley arrested Rosilee M. Bryant, 46 of Prince Frederick and charged her with driving while impaired by alcohol and/or drugs, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
