O'Donnell Re-elected Minority Whip

ANNAPOLIS (Jan. 8, 2008) – The House Republican Caucus today re-elected by acclamation Delegate Anthony J. O’Donnell as Minority Leader and Delegate Christopher B. Shank as Minority Whip.

“I am honored by the overwhelming support from my colleagues”, said Delegate O’Donnell. “We have much work to be done on behalf of the citizens of Maryland, and none of it will happen without the support and hard work of the entire caucus.”

“I am humbled by this vote of confidence,” said Delegate Shank. “I look forward to continuing the Caucus’ work spreading our conservative message of less taxes and smaller government throughout the state of Maryland.”

The Minority Leader and Minority Whip run as a team. The House Republican Caucus holds its leadership election annually.
