La Plata MSP Barrack Receives Five New Troopers


LA PLATA, Md. (Jan. 8, 2008)—The Maryland State Police, La Plata Barrack, received five new Troopers who recently graduated from the 130th Trooper Candidate Class. Trooper William Forte, Trooper Marvin Harrison Jr., Trooper William Scarlett, Trooper Thomas Scott Jr., and Trooper Bryan Sorenson arrived for their new assignment on Wednesday, January 2, 2008.

Prior to patrolling the roadways of Charles County, the five Troopers will undergo an extensive eight week training assignment with a Field Training Trooper. Once they have completed this training, they will become part of the patrol force patrolling the Charles County roadways.
