LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Jan. 3, 2008) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest report.
RETAIL THEFT: On January 2 DFC Brian Connelly responded to the Wal-Mart Store in California, Maryland for a reported theft. Investigation revealed Wal-Mart employees observed the suspects, Amanda Lynn Wathen 25, of Lexington Park, Maryland and Shannon Danielle Parker 31, of Great Mills, Maryland concealing music CD's in a diaper bag. The pair then walked to another section of the store and used scissors to cut the wrapping off the CD's. The suspects were detained and the property was recovered. Suspect Wathen was issued a criminal citation charging her with Theft under $100.00. Suspect Parker was placed under arrest and search incident to her arrest revealed she had Methadone and Adderall tablets in her pocket. She was transported to the Detention Center charged with Theft under $500 and Possession of CDS pending a bond hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
