Calvert Police to Exercise Realistic Training in P.F. on Friday

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Dec. 20, 2007)—On Friday, December 28, the Calvert County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a large-scale training exercise at the College of Southern Maryland-Prince Frederick Campus. Members of the Maryland State Police and local fire and EMS personnel will also participate in the exercise.

The exercise will begin at 7:00 a.m. and will end by 3:00 p.m.

Police say that this is a realistic training exercise. Local residents can expect to see police and fire department personnel responding to the scene and they may hear simulated gun fire or other loud noises in the area.

The campus including the parking lot will be closed to the public while the exercise is taking place. Traffic on J.W. Williams Road and MD 231 should not be affected.
