MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Dec. 20, 2007) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Dec. 12, 11:41 PM, Williams Wharf Rd., Broomes Island, TPR Stern stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The operator, Bradley Ray Gibbs, 22, of Broomes Island, was subsequently arrested for DUI. Incident to arrest, a baggie of suspected marijuana was located on his person. Mr. Gibbs was then charged with possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

POSSESSION OF COCAINE: On Dec. 13, 1:27 PM, Rt. 2/4, Prince Frederick, Lt. Rich stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. A computer check revealed that the tags displayed on the vehicle were suspended. Assisted by DFC Smith and K-9 Keloh a scan of the vehicle produced a positive alert. A search was conducted and suspected cocaine and CDS paraphernalia were located in the vehicle. Arrested at that time for possession of cocaine and CDS paraphernalia was Mary Estella Hawkins, 40, of Lusby. After processing, she was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Dec. 15, 3:33 AM, Rt. 2/4, Huntingtown, TPR Roy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The operator, Corissa Michelle Saulino, 29, of Bowie, MD, was subsequently arrested for DUI. Incident to arrest, 2 baggies of suspected marijuana were located in the vehicle. Ms. Saulino was then charged with possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, she was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Dec. 17, 10:33 PM, St. Leonard Rd., St. Leonard, TPR Towers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The operator, Ryan Ford Gallagher, 29, of Lusby, was subsequently arrested for DUI and driving on a revoked license. Incident to arrest, a CDS smoking device containing suspected marijuana was located in the vehicle. Mr. Gallagher was then charged with possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE: On Dec. 18, 6:02 PM, Market Sq. Dr., Prince Frederick, TPR Towers stopped a vehicle for expired tags. A computer check revealed that the passenger, Charles Edward Plumb, 37, of Lothian, was wanted on a FTA warrant through PG County. Incident to his arrest, a digital scale containing suspected cocaine residue was located in the vehicle. Arrested at that time for possession of cocaine and CDS paraphernalia was the operator , Dustin William Layman, 19, of Lothian. A second search of the vehicle revealed another 4.8 gms. of suspected cocaine. Mr. Layman was then charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. After processing, the two were transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
