St. Mary's County BCI Police Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Dec. 19, 2007) - The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) released the following incident and arrest reports. BCI is an investigative team comprised of Detectives from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack. The unit was established on July 1, 2003 and is based in Leonardtown, Maryland.

ARMED ROBBERY: On December 14th at approximately 6:30 p.m., a black male, approximately 6'2", wearing a black ski mask, black jacket and dark colored pants, entered Emily's Oriental Express Restaurant. Once inside he pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money. When she did not comply he jumped over the counter, removed money from the cash register and fled. St. Mary's County BCI detectives are asking anyone with information on this crime to call Crime Solvers at 301 475- 3333.

BURGLARY: On December 15th at approximately 10 p.m., St. Mary's County BCI detectives arrested Matthew Scott Hurry, 21 years of age, from Mechanicsville, and charged him with Burglary and Theft for a December 14th burglary to a home on Laurel Ridge Drive in Mechanicsville. He was incarcerated at the St. Mary's County Detention Center.

BURGLARY: On December 14th at approximately 3:30 p.m., St. Mary's County BCI detectives arrested Mark Anthony Morgan, 20 years of age, from Mechanicsville, for multiple residential burglaries which occurred in the Queentree Road area of Mechanicsville, between October 31st and December 14, 2007. Morgan was charged with 5 Counts of Burglary, 5 Counts of Theft and 2 Counts of Malicious Property Destruction. He was incarcerated at the St. Mary's County Detention Center.
