LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Dec. 13, 2007) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 12:34 am, TFC K. Shughart responded to a reported disturbance in the 48000 block of Spinnaker Circle in Lexington Park. Upon arrival contact was made with the female complainant who advised Clara Annie Butler Adams, 47, of Lexington Park was causing a disturbance by yelling from her apartment causing surrounding neighbors to be awakened. After the third time of being told to be quiet by TFC Shughart, she was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was charged with Disorderly Conduct. Ms. Adams was detained pending a bond review.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 11:26 am, TFC P. Trossbach responded to a reported Malicious Destruction of Property over $500 in the 45000 block of Monterey Lane in California. Contact was made with the project manager of Thomas Builders, who advised unknown suspect(s) threw rocks and broke out four windows and damaged multiple pieces of vinyl siding on a house for sale. Total damage to the residence is estimated to be $920.00. A neighborhood check was conducted and the investigation continues.
BURGLARY: On Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 12:14 pm, Tpr J. Pilkerton responded to a reported Burglary and Malicious Destruction of Property to a house in the 45000 block of Nolte Court in California. Upon arrival contact was made with the male complainant who advised known suspect(s) burglarized the residence by entering through the rear sliding door and damaging the walls in the living room and kitchen. Several checks with the neighbors were conducted and the investigation is continuing.
DESTROYING MAILBOXES: On Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 7:02 am, Tpr. J. Pilkerton responded to the 25000 block of Mt. Sterling Court in Mechanicsville for a reported Malicious Destruction of Property. Upon arrival contact was made with the male complainant who advised a black Honda Civic with a loud exhaust was seen in the area damaging mailboxes. Check of the surrounding neighborhood revealed 15 mailboxes had been damaged valued at $1,500.00. A broadcast as made and a short time later, a black Honda Civic was observed and stopped in the area of Route 234 and Route 242 in Clements. During the course of the traffic stop, the driver, Jeremy Andrew Vojacek, 23, of Mechanicsville, and two passengers, Casey Evan Sheckels, 21 of Mechanicsville and Jason Andrew Jackson, 21 of Mechanicsville were arrested on several counts of Malicious Destruction of Property. All subjects were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were detained pending a bond review.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 1:00 pm, Randy Arthur Tillman, 46, of King George, Virginia was arrested by TFC T. Quade for possession of Marijuana. Mr. Tillman was operating a blue Plymouth on Route 246 in Lexington Park when he was stopped for not being restrained by his seat belt. During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Tillman was found to be in possession of a small baggie of marijuana. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 11:45 pm, Terrence Llewelyn Mason, 43, of Morganza was arrested by TFC J. Linger for 2nd Degree Assault, possession of Cocaine and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Mr. Mason was operating a green Nissan Sentra on Route 235 at Route 245 in Hollywood when he was stopped for not being restrained by his seat belt. While TFC Linger was speaking with Mr. Mason during the traffic stop, Mr. Mason put the vehicle in gear and fled almost hitting TFC Linger. TFC Linger pursued Mr. Mason and he refused to stop. Other Troopers responded to assist TFC Linger. Tpr. C. Evans deployed "stop sticks" on Route 245 at McIntosh Road in Hollywood. Mr. Mason's vehicle struck the stop sticks and the vehicle stopped a short distance later. Mr. Mason was taken into custody and a search incident to arrest revealed Mr. Mason was in possession of Cocaine and CDS paraphernalia. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
WARRANT ARREST: On Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 10:50 pm, Jack F. Webb, 20, of Great Mills was arrested by TFC M. Moore on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-12857) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on May 17, 2007. The original charge on the warrant was Possession of CDS/Marijuana and Possession of CDS paraphernalia. Mr. Webb was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he detained pending a bond review.
WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 9:45 pm, Richard Charles Pope, 27, of Hollywood was arrested by TFC M. Moore on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13179) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on November 27, 2007. The original charge was Driving on Suspended License. Mr. Pope was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
WARRANT ARREST: On Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 7:00 pm, William Howard Burns, Jr., 54, of Hollywood was arrested by TFC P. Trossbach on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13190) for Failing to Obey Court Order / abstain from alcohol and drugs. Mr. Burns was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
WARRANT ARREST: On Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 10:45 am, David Purnell Taylor, 40, of District Heights was arrested by TFC T. Quade. Mr. Taylor was apprehended by State Police in Prince George's County and relayed to Leonardtown where TFC T. Quade served an outstanding Circuit Court Warrant (T3-12017) for Failing to Pay Fines. The warrant was issued on March 8, 2006 by the Circuit Court in Leonardtown. Mr. Taylor was incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
CREDIT CARD FRAUD: On December 11, 2007 at 4:08 am, Tpr. M. Adams responded to the Leonardtown Barracks for a reported Credit Card Fraud which occurred in November 2007. The male complainant of Scotland advised he was notified by his credit card company that someone has fraudulently used his Mastercard making purchases in excess of $3,500.00. The purchases were made in Georgia, Illinois and Texas. The investigation is ongoing.
WARRANT ARREST: On Friday, December 7, 2007 at 1:30 pm, Jason Stewart Moore, 30, of Leonardtown was arrested by TFC R. Rezza on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-12763) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on March 27, 2007. The original charges were Driving on Revoked License and Possession and Displaying a Suspended License. Mr. Moore was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
WARRANT ARREST: On Friday, December 7, 2007 at 1:30 pm, Jason Stewart Moore, 30, of Leonardtown was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-12629) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on January 11, 2007. The original charges were Possession of CDS - Not Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, 2 counts each. Mr. Moore was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.
WARRANT ARREST: On Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 12:40 am, Carol Tyler Walker, 59, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC J. Linger on an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-13199) issued by the District Court in Calvert County on July 13, 2007. The original charge was for Bad Check, Uttering and Theft Under $500.00. Ms. Walker was taken into custody as a result of the outstanding Arrest Warrant. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was detained pending a bond review.
WARRANT ARREST: On Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 5:25 am, John Wesley Harvey, 40, of Prince Frederick was arrested by TFC J. Linger on an outstanding Circuit Court warrant (T3-13184) for Failing to Appear in Circuit Court in Leonardtown on December 3, 2007. The original charge was Possession of Cocaine. Mr. Harvey was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
