LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Dec. 4, 2007) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department released the following incident and arrest reports.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Dec. 1 while assisting the Maryland State Police on a traffic stop resulting in the arrest of a suspended driver, Deputy First Class James Magiure contacted a passenger, Benjamin P. Sewell 47, of Lexington Park. Sewell was found to be in possession of marijuana and placed under arrest. He was transported to the Detention Center pending a bond hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
DISTRIBUTION OF PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION: On Dec. 2 detectives from the St. Mary's County BCI Vice Narcotics Division indicted Lawrence Edward "Eddie" Keister, 40, of Lexington Park. Keister was arrested on an open Grand Jury Indictment for distribution of prescription medication. He is currently being held without bail in the St. Mary's County Detention Center.
WARRANTS ARREST: Joseph Howard Hanna, 40, of Mechanicsville, Maryland arrested 12/03/07 by Senior Deputy First Class Kevin D. Somerville on a Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear in Court.
WARRANTS ARREST: Jimmy Junior Smith, 36, of Lexington Park, Maryland arrested 12/03/07 by Deputy First Class Keith Moritz on a bench warrant for Possession of Marijuana and Driving While Revoked.
WARRANTS ARREST: Charles Rodger Wathen, 27, of Hollywood, Maryland arrested 12/03/07 by Deputy First Class Shawn Cathcart on a bench warrant for Failure to Appear to a Child Support Hearing.
WARRANTS ARREST: Dante Deon Thomas, 22, of Lexington Park, Maryland arrested 12/03/07 by Deputy Jean Vezzosi on a bench warrant for Assault 2nd Degree.
