MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (November 23, 2007) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) released the following incident and arrest reports.

POSSESSION OF HEROIN/MARIJUANA: On Nov. 17, 11:17 AM, TFC Ewig responded to an area off of Ferry Landing Rd., Dunkirk, to check the welfare of two unresponsive subjects in a locked vehicle. After several minutes of knocking on the windows, the front-seat passenger awoke and rolled down the window. At that time, TFC Ewig detected the odor of suspected marijuana. A search was conducted and suspected heroin, cocaine, and a CDS smoking device containing suspected marijuana residue were recovered. Arrested at that time were Patricia Marie Perry, 44, of Edgewater, and Charles Howard Jackson, 37, of Harwood. Ms. Perry was charged with possession of heroin, marijuana and paraphernalia. Mr. Jackson was charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia. After processing, they were transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION: On Nov. 17, 3:24 PM, TPR Merkelson responded to 2/4 Liquors, Huntingtown, for an intoxicated person complaint. Witnesses directed TPR Merkelson to the suspect who was standing outside his vehicle. TPR Merkelson observed that the suspect had trouble standing and keeping his eyes open. When the suspect entered his vehicle to obtain his registration, TPR Merkelson observed a plastic baggie. A probable cause search was then conducted and 204 various prescription medications (Oxycotin/Zanax/Codeine), marijuana, crack-cocaine, and paraphernalia were recovered. Arrested at that time for possession with intent to distribute prescription medications, possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, and possession of paraphernalia was Douglas Craig Gohr, Jr., 36, of Greenbelt. Additionally, $2,811.00 was seized pending forfeiture proceedings. After processing, Mr. Gohr was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s
hearing.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Nov. 18, 9:01 AM, Rt. 2/4, St. Leonard, TPR Donaldson stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During a conversation with the operator and the passenger, TPR Donaldson learned that the operator had a CDS smoking device in her possession. The device, containing suspected marijuana residue, was recovered and a search of the vehicle produced a baggie of suspected marijuana and a single suspected marijuana cigarette. Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia were Delinda Lynne Lawson, 19, of McLean, VA, and Jude Francis Anthony Yearwood, 23, of Columbia. After processing, they were transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
