LEONARDTOWN, Md. (November 15, 2007) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following
incident and arrest reports.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Nov. 14 Deputy Kevin Meyer stopped a 2001 Dodge Intrepid for an expired Maryland registration. During the traffic stop Deputy Meyer observed the driver, Irving A. Dyson, 60, of Drayden, Maryland, throw/place an article on the passenger side floorboard. Upon looking inside, Deputy Meyer observed a white paper towel on the floorboard. Deputy Meyer obtained consent to search the vehicle and discovered a quantity of crack cocaine inside the paper towel. Also located on the rear floorboard was a crack cocaine smoking device. Dyson was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine and crack cocaine paraphernalia. Dyson was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center, where he was held pending a bond hearing.
BURGLARY, ASSAULT: On Nov. 14 Deputy Goff responded to a residence in Lexington Park where he discovered Larry Glenmore Butler, 53, had broken the window to the kitchen and entered the residence through the window. Once inside, Butler chased the victim and assaulted her with his fist. Butler was arrested by Deputy Goff and charged with First Degree Burglary and Second Degree Assault. Butler was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center, where he is being held pending a bond hearing.
WARRANT ARREST: DFC Michael Worrey arrested William Terrance Campbell, 30, of Park Hall, Maryland on a bench warrant for possession of fireworks in a State park.
WARRANT ARREST: Deputy Michael Campbell arrested Yvette Lee Savoy, 34, of Mechanicville, Maryland on an arrest warrant for unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and driving a rented motor vehicle in violation of a rental agreement.
WARRANT ARREST: DFC Deborah Milam arrested Joseph Emmett Pence II, 19, of Mechanicsville, Maryland on an attachment for contempt warrant.
WARRANT ARREST: DFC Faulkner arrested Renee Love Schwartz-Dejesus, 30, of Lexington Park, Maryland on a bench warrant for prostitution.
CRIMINAL SUMMONS: Deputy James Fontana served a criminal summons on Adrienne C. Maldonado, 22, of Lexington Park, Maryland, charging her with malicious destruction of property.
CRIMINAL SUMMONS: Deputy Joseph Labrack served a criminal summons on Dennis Andrew Gibson, 25, of Chaptico, Maryland, charging him with driving or attempting to drive a vehicle while impaired by alcohol.
