MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (November 15, 2007) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: On Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 8:00 pm, TFC J. Linger responded to the Food Lion at 37701 Mt. Wolfe Road in Charlotte Hall for a reported disturbance. Upon arrival contact was made with the male juvenile complainant, who advised a male co-worker at the Food Lion was in possession of a stolen Apple I-Pod. The 17 year old suspect was contacted and the serial number was verified to be a stolen Apple I-Pod. The juvenile was charged with Theft under $500 and released to his mother pending further action by Juvenile Services.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Thursday, November 15, 2007 at 12:01 am, Veronica Missy Jenkins, 31, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC E. Evans for possession of Marijuana. TFC Evans observed Ms. Jenkins operating a black GM Hummer 3 and failing to drive right of center. A traffic stop was initiated on south bound Route 235 at Friendship School Road in Mechanicsville. During the course of the traffic stop, contact was made with Ms. Jenkins and a strong odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Ms. Jenkins was found to be in possession of a baggie of marijuana and was arrested for possession of Marijuana. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review.

ILLEGAL DRUGS, SUSPENDED LICENSE: On Thursday, November 15, 2007 at 12:43 am, TFC P. Trossbach initiated a traffic stop on a motorcycle on south bound Mervell Dean Road south of Beck Road in Hollywood for failing to drive right of center. During the course of the traffic stop, contact was made with the driver, Mark Lee O'Connor, 40, of Callaway and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath and person. Mr. O'Connor was arrested for DUI/DWI. A search incident to arrest revealed Mr. O'Connor was in possession of a blue metal CDS smoking device with marijuana. Additionally, a MVA check revealed that Mr. O'Connor's driving privileges are revoked in Maryland and the 2006 Yamaha motorcycle/scooter he was operating was unregistered. Mr. O'Connor was charged accordingly and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond hearing.

WARRANT ARREST: On Friday, November 9, 2007 at 11:37 pm, Richard J. Rhodes, 35, of St. Inigoes was served an outstanding Bench Warrant (T13-12040) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on March 22, 2006. The original charge was Driving on Suspended License. Mr. Rhodes was already incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center on unrelated charges when the warrant was served.

WARRANT ARREST: On Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 8:47 pm, Raymond V. Rainwater, 27, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC K. Lashley on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13129) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on November 1, 2007. The original charges were possession of Marijuana, CDS paraphernalia and other related traffic charges. Mr. Rainwater was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Sunday, November 11, 2007 at 11:42 pm, Devon Raquel Maysword, 27, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13080) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on October 5, 2007. The original charge was Driving Without a License. Mr. Maysword was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Monday, November 12, 2007 at 12:15 am, Antonio Wendell Chase, 21, of Lexington Park was arrested on a District Court Arrest Warrant which was issued on July 2, 2007. The original charge was for Assault 2nd Degree. Mr. Chase was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond hearing.

WARRANT ARREST: On Monday, November 12, 2007 at 1:20 am, Braden Thomas Johnson, 23, of Hollywood was arrested by TFC J. Fleetwood on an Arrest Warrant (T3-13151) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on November 11, 2007. The original charge was for Theft Over $500. Mr. Johnson was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Monday, November 12, 2007 at 6:17 pm, John Christopher Wall, 42, of Waldorf was arrested by Tpr. C. Evans on an outstanding Circuit Court Warrant (T3-13107) issued on October 19, 2007. The original charge was DUI. Mr. Wall was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Monday, November 12, 2007 at 9:15 pm, Patricia Dawn Merrill, 45, of Prince Frederick was arrested by TFC E. Evans on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13150) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on November 9, 2007. The original charge was Desertion of a Minor Child. Ms. Merrill was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and detained pending her court appearance.

WARRANT ARREST: On Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 9:35 am, Jonathan David Elkins, 20, of Hollywood was arrested by TFC P. Trossbach on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13136) which was issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on November 2, 2007. The original charge was Altering Vehicle Equipment After being Certified. Mr. Elkins was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond hearing.
