St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (November 14, 2007) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DUI: On Nov. 12 DFC J. Kirker was assisting in the investigation of an accident in the Hickory Hills Shopping Center when a vehicle involved in the accident was observed leaving the scene. DFC Kirker followed the vehicle and subsequently stopped it. The driver, Alyssa Lynn Weber 21, of Raleigh, North Carolina was believed to be driving under the influence and failed standard field sobriety tests. She was arrested and charged with Driving under the Influence and transported to the Detention Center pending a bond hearing before the District Court Commissioner.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Nov. 11 Deputy First Class Keith Moritz conducted a traffic stop in the area of Pacific Drive in Lexington Park after observing a wanted subject, Antonio Wendell Chase, 21, of Lexington Park in the vehicle. A search incident to his arrest revealed suspect Chase was in possession of cocaine and marijuana. Chase was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrants, and charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana. He was transported to the Detention Center pending a bond hearing before the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT ARREST: SDFC Robert Russell arrested James Deshawn Gray, 27, of Patuxent River, Maryland on a bench warrant for Bad Checks.

WARRANT ARREST: Deputy Vezzosi arrested Bernadette Theresa Gingery 43, of Mechanicsville, Maryland on an bench warrant for Assault 2nd degree.

WARRANT ARREST: Deputy Graves arrested Jeremiah Jerard Watson 30, of Scotland, Maryland on an open warrant for Burglary, Malicious Destruction of Property, Theft less $500 and Trespassing.
