Two St. Mary's Educators Receive McNeely Honor Award


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (November 1, 2007) - Ms. Debra Settle (Town Creek Elementary School) and Ms. Patricia Tillotson (Hollywood Elementary School) were recipients of the Simon A. McNeely Honor Award at the annual convention of the Maryland Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (MAHPERD) on Monday, October 19.

The Simon A. McNeely Honor Award is presented to those individuals who have demonstrated active involvement in school and community affairs, along with outstanding teaching and service in the field of physical education. Hollywood and Town Creek elementary schools are two of only ten schools selected from across the state as Maryland Physical Education Demonstration Schools for 2007-2009.
