LEONARDTOWN, Md. (November 1, 2007) - The St. Mary's County Board of Education at its meeting of October 30, 2007 announced the administrative appointment of Larry Hartwick to the position of supervisor of design and construction in the Division of Supporting Services. This appointment became effective immediately.
Hartwick rejoins the school system where he previously worked as the supervisor of maintenance and operations from 1997 to 2000. His experience also includes serving as a capital project manager for St. Mary's College of Maryland, and director of facilities planning & construction and director of campus services for Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, Ca.
Hartwick, who completed an executive management program with the Peter F. Drucker Graduate Management Center at Claremont Graduate University in California, earned a Master of Arts degree in English from Claremont Graduate University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in literature from the University of California, San Diego.
