MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (October 30, 2007) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 11:50 am, Sergio Mendiola, 18, of Great Mills, was arrested by TFC M. Laney for Possession of Marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. TFC Laney initiated a traffic stop on a burgundy Dodge Caravan for an equipment violation on Route 246 at Sanner Lane in Lexington Park. Contact was made with the driver, Sergio Mendiola and an odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, marijuana and CDS paraphernalia was found in the vehicle. Mr. Mendiola was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: On Thursday, October 25, 2007 at TFC J. Fleetwood responded to a reported Burglary in the 26000 block of Baptist Church Road in Mechanicsville. Contact was made with the male complainant who advised unknown suspect(s) broke into his residence and stole a Husqvarna chain saw with a 21" bar, two rifles, one being a 9mm and the other being a 22 caliber. Additionally, a 4' bolt cutter was also stolen. The investigation continues.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Friday, October 26, 2007 at 2:54 pm, TFC J. Fleetwood responded to a reported Malicious Destruction of Property in the 26000 block of Baptist Church Road in Mechanicsville. Contact was made with the male complainant who advised unknown subject(s) shot one of his cows. Neighborhood checks were performed and the investigation continues.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 1:26 am, Natalie Marie Radford, 26, of Lusby was arrested by Tpr. M. Adams for Possession of Marijuana. Tpr. Adams initiated a traffic stop on a white Dodge Neon at Route 4 and Route 235 in California for an equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver, Louis Joseph Pelletier, 25, of Lusby, and a MVA check revealed his license was suspended. Mr. Pelletier was arrested for Driving on a Suspended License. During the course of the traffic stop a bag of marijuana was recovered from the passenger seat. The passenger, Natalie Marie Radford was arrested for the Possession of Marijuana. Both individuals were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were held pending a bond review.

ILLEGAL DRUGS, NO LICENSE: On Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 1:45 am, Kimberly Ann Harris, 18, of Hughesville was arrested by TFC K. Shughart for Possession of Marijuana. Ms. Harris was operating a blue Ford Escort north bound Route 5 in Mechanicsville when she was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. Contact was made with Ms. Harris and a strong odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. A MVA check revealed Ms. Harris was operating the motor vehicle without a driver's license and she was subsequently arrested. She was transported to the St. Mary's Detention Center when a baggie of Marijuana was found on her person. She was held at the Detention Center pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Sunday, October 21, 2007 at 8:00 pm, Donald McCoy Bullock, 55, of Oxon Hill was arrested by TFC J. Linger on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13105) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Prince George's County on May 17, 2007. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. Mr. Bullock was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Monday, October 22, 2007 at 2:00 pm, Scott Timothy Murphy, 25, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC L. Nims on an Arrest Warrant (T3-13050) issued July 26, 2007. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended and Revoked License in addition to Fleeing and Eluding a Police Officer. Mr. Murphy was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Monday, October 22, 2007 at 2:00 pm, Scott Timothy Murphy, 25, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC L. Nims on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-12449) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on October 17, 2007. The original charge was for Driving on a Suspended and Revoked License in addition to Fleeing and Eluding a Police Officer. Mr. Murphy was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Monday, October 22, 2007 at 2:18 pm, Scott Timothy Murphy, 25, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC K. Shughart on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13106) for Failing to Appear in District Court on Prince George's County on November 28, 2006. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. Mr. Murphy was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Monday, October 22, 2007 at 5:20 pm, Larry Edward Sams, Jr., 36, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC F. Dolinger on a Circuit Court Warrant which was issued October 16, 2007. The True Bill Indictment was for 2nd Degree Burglary / Firearm. Mr. Sams was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Monday, October 22, 2007 at 10:50 pm, William James Kolton, 42, was arrested by TFC L. Nims on an Arrest Warrant (T3-13078) issued October 3, 2007. The original charge was Assault 2nd Degree. Mr. Kolton was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Friday, October 26, 2007 at 10:30 am, Michael Patrick West, 40, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC J. Fleetwood on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-12466) for Failing to Follow Conditions of Probation. The original charge was for DWI. Mr. West was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond hearing.

WARRANT ARREST: On Friday, October 26, 2007 at 11:10 pm, Guy Vivian Butler, 42, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC L. Nims on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13101) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown issued October 19, 2007. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

WARRANT ARREST: On Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 11:05 am, James Walter Ball, 83, of St. Inigoes was arrested by TFC M. Grimes on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13125) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on October 26, 2007. The original charge was Assault 2nd Degree.

WARRANT ARREST: On Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 12:00 pm, James C. Allen, Jr., 37, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. C. Evans on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-12917) for Failing to Follow Conditions of Probation. The original charge was Assault 2nd Degree. Mr. Allen was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.
