LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Oct. 16, 2007)—The Board of County Commissioners for St. Mary’s County today announced that Sabrina Hecht has been appointed to the County’s new position of Chief of Staff.
Hecht currently heads up the Development Services Division within the Department of Land Use and Growth Management.
Hecht has been a reserve member of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) since 1991 and has held various positions including Platoon Commander, Logistician, Company Commander, Project Manager and Facilities Maintenance Officer at Camp Taqaddum, Iraq. She also served as Executive Officer of the Marine Corps PeaceTime WarTime Support Team.
Hecht currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Hecht obtained her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of South Carolina, and an MBA from Mercer University.
