St. Mary's County BCI Police Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) today released the following incident and arrest reports. BCI is an investigative team comprised of Detectives from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack. The unit was established on July 1, 2003 and is based in Leonardtown, Maryland.

COCAINE DISTRIBUTION: St. Mary's County Vice Narcotics Detectives have been attempting to locate Suspect Antoine Marquis Johnson, a/k/a Garrett Malik Johnson, 21, of Lexington Park, on an open Grand Jury Indictment. Johnson has been a target of large scale crack cocaine distribution investigations for several years.

Detectives apprehended Johnson a few weeks ago and found a large amount of crack cocaine in his possession. He was arrested and subsequently indicted by Detectives through the St. Mary's County Grand Jury process. Detectives notified the State of Texas as Johnson is on probation for drug-related charges and has approximately ten years of "back up time." A detainer was filed by the State of Texas for Violation of Probation. Johnson will answer those charges once his local charges are satisfied.

Deputy Kevin Meyer, a Patrol Deputy and a member of the Vice Narcotics Support Team, stopped a cab in which Johnson was a passenger. Jphnson was placed under arrest for the open indictments and the warrant through Dallas, Texas. A search revealed more than $8,000.00 worth of "Crack Cocaine" and a small amount of marijuana. The additional charges were filed against Johnson. The case will be reviewed by the State's Attorney's Office for possible indictment.

INDICTMENT FOR COCAINE: Gabrielle Bradley, 18, of Lexington Park, was served a Grand Jury Indictment through Charles County for Possession with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Cocaine.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, CHILD NEGLECT: Vice Narcotics Detectives obtained a Search and Seizure Warrant for a Park Hall home in relation to the distribution of narcotics. Members of the St. Mary's County Emergency Services Team executed the search warrant. The home was found to be in such poor living conditions that emergency rescue personnel were called to check on the conditions of the children in the home. Department of Social Services was contacted also to conduct their investigation. Lonnie Clayton Broome, 33, of Park Hall, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana. Additional charges are pending a State's Attorney's Office review. Those charges could include Child Neglect.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: Vice Narcotics Support Team member and Patrol Deputy Shawn Moses conducted a vehicle stop in the Great Mills area. During the course of the stop Deputy Moses noted a baggy of what appeared to be marijuana. A search revealed two baggies of marijuana that was more than one-half ounce. Robert Sean Higgins, 43, of Lexington Park, was arrested and charged accordingly.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: Vice Narcotics Support Team member and Patrol Deputy Kevin Meyer responded to an anonymous call for the odor of burnt marijuana to the rear of a Lexington Park apartment complex. He conducted his investigation that led to a particular apartment. Subsequently, Jason Michael Boswell, 23, of Lexington Park, was charged with Possession of Marijuana and two related smoking devices.

INDICTMENT FOR CRACK COCAINE: Vice Narcotics Detectives indicted Skylar Anthony Sanders after a search warrant was executed on his Park Hall home during the Labor Day weekend enforcement efforts. The case was reviewed by the State's Attorney's Office and that led to several felony drug charges to include possession of more than 50 grams of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute and possession of a handgun in the relation to drug trafficking.

MARIJUANA IN HOTEL: Vice Narcotics Support Team member and Patrol Deputy James Maguire responded to a California Hotel for the reported drug activity. Once on the scene he noted that the odor of burnt marijuana was coming from one particular room. Contact was made with the occupant of that room, John Vincent Emmendorger, 44, of Montrose, MI. Emmendorger was charged accordingly.
