Some Residents May Receive Survey Calls Next Week, RE: Nuclear Emergency Response


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Oct. 11, 2007) - Beginning next week, some residents of Calvert, Dorchester and St. Mary's counties will be called by representatives from First Market Research. This firm will be conducting a telephone survey for local government emergency management groups and Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant. The purpose is to provide information to update emergency response plans in the event of a nuclear emergency at the nearby Calvert Cliffs facility.

The following areas of Calvert County will be affected:

-- All residents living south of the following roads: Dares Beach Road and Hallowing Point (Rt. 231) and west of Adelina Road and Sheridan Point Road.

The following areas of Dorchester County will be affected:

-- All residents living west of Parson's Creek and Goose Dam

-- All residents living west of Smithville Rd. to Hoopers Island Rd.

-- All residents living off of Meekins Neck Rd

The following areas of St. Mary's County will be affected:

-- Residents East of 235 beginning at North Sandgates Rd and ending at Rue Purchase Rd.

-- Residents one mile West of 235 beginning at the Wildewood Center and ending at Clover Hill Rd.
