St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Oct. 11, 2007) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT ARREST: On 10/10/07 Deputy S. Lacey arrested Dwayne Matthew Dorsey 22, of Lexington Park, on a District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear in Court. He was transported to the Detention Center and held without bail.

WARRANT ARREST: 10/10/07 Deputy S. Lacey arrested William Norman Williams 43, of Mechanicville, on a District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to in Court. He was transported to the Detention Center on a $3500.00 bond.

WANTED SUSPECT ARREST: Sheriff's Office Patrol Deputies responded to a residence in Bushwood while acting on a tip that a wanted suspect was there. Suspect Chad Cameron Gass, 32, of Bushwood, was wanted on several outstanding Grand Jury Indictments that were obtained by detectives from the Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) Vice Narcotics Division. Gass was facing several charges related to felony drug possession and failure to appear in the Circuit Court.

Gass was allegedly staying in a camper behind a home on Pleasant Lane. Once at the camper, contact was made with Thomas Martin Johnson, 27, of Bushwood. Gass was found inside. Deputies also say they detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana from inside the camper. Gass was taken into custody at which time additional marijuana was located on his person.

A total of nearly 100 grams of marijuana (3.527 ounces), related smoking devices, and a crack cocaine smoking device were recovered from the camper. Johnson was also arrested and charged accordingly. Both face additional charges of pending a States Attorney's Office review.
