LEONARDTOWN, Md. (October 2, 2007) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.
ACCIDENT WHILE DUI: On 09/28/07 Deputy Jeremy Green responded to Dockser Drive and Shoreview Drive in Golden Beach, for the report of a single vehicle accident. The investigation by Deputy Green revealed the driver, Charles A. Fisher, 21, of Mechanicsville, was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol when he lost control and struck a utility pole. Fisher was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Driving While Impaired, Driving Under the Influence Per Se and Failure to Stop After a Property Damage Accident. He was transported to the Detention Center pending a bond hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
MINORS DRIVING DUI: On 10/02/07 St. Mary's County Deputies from Squad III responded to Golden Beach for the report of suspicious activity. During a check of the area, DFC D. Milam initiated a traffic stop on Golden Beach Road and contacted the 16-year-old driver. DFC Milam determined the juvenile was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and placed the driver under arrest. A 15-year-old passenger was also determined to have been drinking alcohol and issued an alcohol citation by Cpl. Mark Clark. Both juveniles were processed and released to the custody of their parents.
CDS: On 10/02/07 Deputy Campbell responded to the area of Golden Beach, Mechanicsville, for the reported assault. During the investigation, Deputy Campbell contacted Joshua Lewis Crouch, 18, of Front Royal, Virginia on the roadside of Golden Beach Road. Crouch reported he was the victim of the assault, but was found to be in possession of Marijuana. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Detention Center pending a bond hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT ARREST: On 10/02/07 Deputy Boyer arrested Danielle Faye Wheatley 18, of Valley Lee, on a District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear in court on alcohol related charges. She was transported to the Detention Center pending a bond hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT ARREST: On 10/01/07 Deputy Goff arrested Thomas Delano Bush, 60, of Leonardtown, on a District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on drug related charges. He was transported to the Detention Center pending a bond hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
