LEONARDTOWN, Md. (September 27, 2007)—The Board of Commissioners for St. Mary’s County today announced that Brenda Burch has been appointed by the State Board of Elections as the Director of Elections for St. Mary’s County. Burch has been acting director since the retirement of Catherine Countiss on July 1, 2007. She has worked at the Election office since July, 1988.
