PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (September 27, 2007) — The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Sept. 19, 10:03 AM, Broomes Island Rd., Port Republic, TFC Murphy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The operator, Jerry Edgar Driver, 39, of Port Republic, was found to be driving on a suspended license. A K-9 scan was performed on the vehicle and the dog alerted to the presence of CDS. A search was conducted and a baggie of suspected marijuana was located under the center console. In addition to the traffic charges, Mr. Driver was charged with possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Sept. 22, 12:52 AM, Rt. 2/4, Huntingtown, TPR Merkelson stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The operator, Dana Carl Head, Jr., 27, of Rockville, was subsequently arrested for DUI. Incident to arrest, suspected marijuana was located on his person. Mr. Head was then charged with possession of marijuana. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
SHOPLIFTING: On Sept. 23, 1:51 PM, Calvert Control dispatched a look-out for a vehicle involved in a shoplifting complaint at the Prince Frederick K-Mart. TPR Roy observed the vehicle turn into the parking lot of Adam’s Ribs, Prince Frederick. He made contact with the occupants and observed the stolen property (6 t-shirts) in the vehicle. Arrested at that time for theft (-$100) were Terri Andre Davis, Jr., 19, of Washington, DC, and a 16-year-old male, of Washington, DC. The juvenile was also charged with driving without a license. After processing, Mr. Davis was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing. The juvenile was released to a parent.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT: On Sept. 25, 4:30 PM, a resident of Dot Ln., Huntingtown, reported that an unknown culprit had stolen his 1991 burgundy Chevy Blazer, MD reg. 337375M, from his driveway. TPR Chirichella is handling the investigation.
