MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (September 7, 2007) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

On Sunday, September 2, 2007 at 3:07 pm, Tpr. Brill responded to the Lowes Home Center in California for a reported theft. Contact was made with the Loss Prevention manager who advised an unknown male took an estimated $760.00 in tools from the store. Investigation continues.

On Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 9:47 am, Tpr. Shughart responded to the 21000 block of Forest Run Drive in Lexington Park for a reported theft from motor vehicles and malicious destruction of property. On arrival contact was made with the three victims, who advised their vehicles had been broken into and either the stereo or speakers were stolen. Two Kicker L7 12" speakers and speaker box were taken from vehicle (1), a blue 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt. Two tires were punctured and the Jensen radio was stolen from vehicle (2), a green 1993 Chrysler Concorde leaving the cut wires exposed. On vehicle (3), a white 2005 Ford Ranger; a Sony single disc with detachable silver and black face plate and radio were stolen leaving the cut wires exposed. Neighborhood checks were conducted and the investigation continues.

On Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 2:23 pm, Tpr. G. White responded to the 24000 block of North Patuxent Beach Road in California for a reported burglary. Contact was made with the male complainant who advised unknown suspect(s) burglarized the detached garage. There was nothing stolen from the garage. Neighborhood checks were conducted and the investigation continues.

On Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 6:00 pm, TFC M. Grimes responded to a reported Juvenile Assault in the 46000 block of Rogers Drive in Lexington Park. Contact was made with the female complainant who advised her daughter was assaulted by a female juvenile, 15, of Park Hall. The suspect was later located and arrested in the area. She was transported to her residence where she was released to her mother pending further action by Juvenile Services.

On Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 1:48 pm, David Shane Caudle, 26, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. M. Adams for possession of marijuana. Mr. Caudle was in possession of a multi colored glass CDS smoking device with marijuana residue. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review.

On Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 2:00 pm, Tpr. Shughart responded to the Park Dodge and Chrysler dealership in Lexington Park for a reported theft of motor vehicle. Upon arrival contact was made with the male complainant who advised unknown suspect(s) took the key and a silver 2006 Chrysler 300 SRT 4 door from the dealership lot. The car is valued at $32,000.00 and the investigation continues.

On Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 6:07 pm, Robert Allan Krell, 24, of Charlotte Hall and Elizabeth Marilyn Jones, 24, of Callaway were arrested by TFC Linger at Route 234 and Route 238 in Chaptico for possession of Oxycodone, a Schedule II CDS. They were both transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review.

On Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 11:48 pm, Frank Leonard Annese, 25, of Bridgeport, WV was arrested by TFC E. Evans on Route 235 at MacArthur Blvd. in California for DUI. He was also found to be in possession of a baggie of marijuana. Mr. Annese was charged accordingly and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

On Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 10:15 pm, John James Welch, 23, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC Linger on a Bench Warrant (T3013022) for Failing to Follow Condition of Probation. The original charge was DWI . Mr. Welch was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review.
