St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.

CDS/WEAPON: On Sep. 4, 2007 Deputy Anthony Whipkey conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Three Notch Road and Rue Purchase Road for a traffic violation. During the stop the passenger, Gerald Auker (Age 40) was found to be in possession of narcotics and narcotics paraphernalia. The operator of the vehicle, Colleen Hamilton (Age 34) was found to have a loaded .22 Cal. Handgun under her seat. Both Auker and Hamilton were arrested.

STOLEN VEHICLE: On Sep. 4, 2007 the Sheriff's Office received a report of a stolen vehicle that was removed from the area of St. Mary's College. Deputy Michael Worrey responded and started an investigation. Investigation revealed that the vehicle, a 2005 GMC Danali was equipped with On-Star. Once activated at the request of the victim, Deputy Worrey received information that the vehicle was in the area of Budds Creek Raceway. Officers responded and located the vehicle and found Howard Marshall Hicks, 18, of Poquoson, Va. and a student at St. Mary's College, in possession of the vehicle. Hicks struggled with officers after being ordered to exit the vehicle. Hicks was arrested and charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Resisting Arrest, and Trespassing.
