Huntingtown Man Drowns Near Fenwick Island, Delaware


FENWICK ISLAND, Delaware (August 30, 2007) - With assistance from the Ocean City, Md. Police Department and the Maryland State Police, Delaware State Police detectives on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 identified the body that washed ashore on Fenwick Island, Delaware on Monday, August 20, 2007 as Derrick Anthony Graviosi, 31, of the 200 block of Amber Lane, Huntingtown, Md.

The cause of death is drowning, but the manner of death is undetermined, say police.

Graviosi had been reported as a missing person to the Ocean City, Md. Police Department a few days prior to his body being recovered in Delaware. Detectives from the Maryland State Police were able to match Graviosi’s fingerprints to fingerprints on file.

Fenwick Island is immediately north of the Maryland-Delaware border and connects with Ocean City, Md.
