MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

On Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 11:18 pm, Lindsay Richelle Poole, 18, of Avenue and Halay Nicole Poole, 19, of Avenue were arrested for possession of marijuana. Trp. C. Evans initiated a traffic stop on a black Nissan Maxima for failing to drive right of center. During the course of the traffic stop a strong odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Lindsey Poole was found to be in possession of marijuana cigar, while Nicole Poole was found to be in possession of marijuana cigar and a bag of marijuana. They were both transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review.

On Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 2:37 am, Terrence Llewelyn Mason, 43, of Morganza was arrested for possession of cocaine. Mr. Mason was stopped at Route 237 at Fire Dept. Lane in California for an equipment violation on his purple Chevrolet Cavalier. During the course of the traffic stop, Tpr. C. Evans observed cocaine on the driver's seat. Marijuana, cocaine and a CDS smoking device were recovered from the glove box. Mr. Mason was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.

On Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 10:49 pm, Samuel Lee Mongtomery was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. TFC Grimes responded to a reported disturbance in the 21000 block of Lexwood Court in Lexington Park. Mr. Montgomery was outside his residence yelling and causing a disturbance. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center for a bond review.

On Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 7:35 pm, James Andrew Hight, 23, of Brandywine was arrested for 2nd Degree Assault, Possession of Marijuana, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct at the Maryland International Raceway (MIR) in Mechanicsville. While working security at MIR, Sgt. Spaulding observed Mr. Hight become disorderly and yelling obscenities. Assistance was requested and TFC Lashley responded to the scene. When Sgt. Spaulding approached Mr. Hight, he observed a marijuana cigarette behind the Mr. Hight's right ear. Mr. Hight became combative and struck Sgt. Spaulding. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.

On Sunday, August 26, 2007 at 6:30 pm, Matthew James David Hiner, 20, of Mechanicsville, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and discharging a firearm within 150 yards of a residence. TFC Lashley responded to the 28000 block of Shannon Court in Mechanicsville for a reported shooting complaint. The investigation revealed Mr. Hiner was discharging a 22 caliber rifle at the rear of his residence and yelling obscenities. Mr. Hiner was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.

On Thursday, August 23, 2007 11:40 pm, Benjamin Francis Stein, 19, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC Linger on a Bench Warrant (T3-12967) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on August 1, 2007. Charges were driving while license was suspended. Mr. Stein was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review.

On August 24, 2007 at 11:27 am, Eugene James Warren, Jr., 39, of Forestville was arrested by Tpr. Pilkerton on a Bench Warrant (T3-11667) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on October 12, 2004. Charges were driving while license was suspended. Mr. Warren was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review.

On Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 1:15 pm, Marlo Alexander Aguirre, 24, of California was arrested by TFC Quade on a Bench Warrant (T3-12981) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on August 8, 2007. Charges were driving a motor vehicle without the required license and authorization. Mr. Aguirre was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.
