LA PLATA, Md. - The Charles County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.
THEFT: On Aug. 21 at 3 p.m., Charles County Sheriffs officers responded to Home Depot located at 12050 Jefferson Farm Place in Waldorf for the report of a shoplifting in progress. The suspects were still on the scene when officers arrived. Cpl. M. Clark arrested the first suspect, Corey Duval Johnson, 36, of Upper Marlboro, without incident. A subsequent search revealed Johnson was in possession of marijuana and he initially gave a false statement to the officer. Officer D. Sauve attempted to arrest the second suspect, Murylin Noel Littlejohn, 27, of Upper Marlboro, but she resisted. After a brief struggle, she was ultimately arrested and found to be in possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Johnson and Littlejohn were both charged with theft valued at more than $500. Johnson was also charged with conspiracy to commit theft, possession of marijuana and giving a false statement to a police officer. Littlejohn was additionally charged with second-degree assault, resisting arrest, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Johnson and Littlejohn were being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner.
