Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: On August 7 between 6:00 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked vehicle that had been parked in the Plum Point Middle School parking lot in Huntingtown. The victim advised that her wallet, containing over $200 in valuables, was taken. DFC David Denton will continue the investigation.

THEFT: Another unlocked vehicle was entered on August 9 at approximately 1:00 p.m. while parked in the Market Square on Costley Way in Prince Frederick. A purse containing over $100 in valuables was taken. Dep. Nicholas DeFelice is investigating the theft.

CDS VIOLATION: Dep. Joseph Cullen responded to the end of Crab House Road in Lusby on August 13 at about 3:00 a.m. for the report of a suspicious vehicle. After making contact with the occupants, he discovered one of them was in possession of drugs and paraphernalia. Susan R. Spencer, 22 of Lusby, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

DOP: Dep. Nicholas DeFelice responded to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at Route 2 and Clyde Jones Road in Sunderland on August 15 at 9:30 a.m. for the report of a destruction of property. An employee of the church advised that unknown suspect(s) had spray painted an outer wall on one of the church's outbuildings. The damage is estimated at $20. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. DeFelice at 410-535-2800.

DOP: Cpl. Richard McCourt responded to Skipjack Road in Prince Frederick on August 15 for a destruction of property complaint. An employee of the Calvert County Department of Water and Sewer advised that unknown person(s) had spray painted the water pumping station, water tower and storage tank at that facility. The damage, estimated at $500, occurred between August 10 at 8:40 a.m. and August 11 at 9:40 a.m. Cpl. McCourt will continue the investigation.

CDS VIOLATION: On August 16 at 9:30 p.m. Dep. Robert Burggraff responded to Lusby Liquors on H.G. Trueman Road for a motor vehicle accident. Contact with one of the drivers involved revealed he was in possession of suspected crack cocaine. Bryan K. Williams, 43 of Lusby, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

CDS VIOLATION: On August 17 at approximately 2:06 p.m. Dep. Nicholas DeFelice was in the area of the Sunderland Park and Ride when he made contact with the driver of a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver, identified as Jacob M. Lash, 25 of Prince Frederick, and the passenger, Jason P. Maloney, 24 of Huntingtown, were both found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. They were both placed under arrest and charged with possession of marijuana.
