LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The Skate Park at Nicolet Park in Lexington Park will host the final events of the Mid-Atlantic Skateboard Series on Saturday, August 25, 2007 and Sunday, August 26, 2007. This is the fifth year for this very popular competition which is expected to draw skateboarders from various Mid-Atlantic States-some traveling from as far away as Maine and Florida.
Registration for the event begins at 8:00 a.m. and the competition starts at 9:30 a.m. An awards ceremony will be held immediately after last competitive session.
Each of the eight bowl classes and three street classes will skate in "jam session format." Judges will identify the top four skaters in each class; everyone else will be "tied for fifth place." There will be an additional Red Bull "manny mania" best trick contest this year as well.
The skate park is located at 21777 Bunker Hill Drive, in Lexington Park, Maryland.
