St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.

Deputy Corcoran was on patrol in the area of Villa Road, St. Inigoes when he conducted a vehicle stop for a speeding violation. The vehicle stopped and the operator Jesse James Adams (Age 20 of Ridge) immediately fled on foot. A foot chase ensued and Suspect Adams was located hiding in a nearby shed. He was arrested for Fleeing and Eluding. Further investigation revealed that the tags on the vehicle were stolen and he was operating the vehicle while impaired.

Deputy Megan Guy contacted a vehicle stop in the Lexington Park area and found that the operator, Stephen Andrew Chamberlain (Age 28 of Lexington Park) was wanted through the Maryland State Police. He was arrested and a search incident to arrest revealed a quantity of marijuana.

Derrick Rahmon Medley (Age 22 of Great Mills) was arrested on an open Grand Jury Indictment for Felony Drug charges. The arrest was made by Deputy Shaun Carberry.

Calara Renee Clarke (Age 29 of Hollywood, Md.) was charged on a Criminal Summons with passing a worthless check valued at $200.00. Deputy Shaun Carberry was the charging Deputy.

Nick Bennett (Age 48 of Lusby) was arrested for Failure to Appear by Deputy McCoy.

Steven Wesly Gingery Jr. (Age 22 of Leonardtown) was arrested by Deputy Michael Harrison for Failure to Appear.

Gerald Matthew Williams (Age 28 of Hollywood, Md.) was arrested for passing a worthless check valued at more than $47.00.

Lauren Elizabeth Graves (Age 21 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy Michael Campbell for Contempt of Court.

Mark Travis Grove (Age 22 of Mechanicsville) was arrested by Deputy Michael Worrey for Failure to Appear.

Garrett Leevi Odum (Age 27 of No Fixed Address) was arrested by Deputy Earl Young for passing a Bad Check.

Timothy Aldon Barnard (Age 33 of Laurel, Md.) was arrested on an open warrant for Violation of a Protective Order by Deputy Elizabeth Trossbach.

Corporal Christopher Morley performed a vehicle stop while conducting proactive law enforcement operations on Great Mills Road. Corporal Morley detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the driver as well as noting open containers of alcohol. The operator of the vehicle, Jenair Maclund Butts (Age 24 of Chapitco) was arrested for possession of marijuana that was located and additionally charged with possession of cocaine.
