MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 7/25, 10:04 AM, Rt. 2/4, Prince Frederick, TPR Chirichella stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the operator, Charles Andrew Tuzzio, 56, of Prince Frederick, TPR Chirichella detected the odor of suspected marijuana. A search was conducted and suspected marijuana was recovered from Mr. Tuzzio’s pants pocket. He was placed under arrest at that time for possession of marijuana. He was also charged with driving under the influence of CDS. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.

THEFT: On 7/25, between 12:30 PM and 7:00 PM, an unknown culprit entered 2 vehicles parked at Bayfront Park, Chesapeake Beach, and removed 2 purses containing personal items and 2 Verizon cellphones. TPR Laziuck is handling the investigation.

THEFT: On 7/26, between 10:00 AM and 11:20 AM, an unknown culprit forcibly entered a vehicle in the rear parking lot at 230 W. Dares Beach Rd., Prince Frederick, and removed a Garmin GPS. TFC Brooks is handling the investigation.

VANDALISM: During the overnight hours of 7/27, an unknown culprit egged 2 vehicles parked on Cassell Blvd., Prince Frederick. TPR Laziuck is handling the investigation.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: During the overnight hours of 7/28, eight residents on Simpson Farm, Owings, were the victims of vandalism. The culprits had spraypainted mailboxes, a garage, and a driveway. Investigation led to the arrest of a 14-year-old male, of Owings, and a 16-year-old male, of Stanley, VA. They were both charged with nine counts of malicious destruction of property. After processing, they were released to a parent.

THEFT: During the overnight hours of 7/29, an unknown culprit entered a vehicle on Langley Ln., Solomons, and removed an Alpine stereo and a pair of Calcutta sunglasses. TFC Brooks is handling the investigation.
