St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department today released the following incident and arrest reports.

Kirby Lee Leiva (Age 23 of California, Md.) was arrested by Deputy McCoy for Driving While Impaired.

Roy Brown Loverin 4th (Age 40 of Mechanicsville) was arrested by Deputy Brian Connelly for Driving While Impaired. He is a repeat offender.

Lisa Marie Juisto (Age 35 of Waldorf) was arrested by Deputy Jason Graves for Driving While Impaired. She is a repeat offender.

Steven Wayne Carter (Age 48 of Lexington Park) was arrested by Deputy McCoy for Failure to Appear.

Justin Michael Suite (Age 19 of Mechanicsville) was arrested by Deputy Jason Graves for Failure to Appear. The warrant was through the District Court for Worcester County, Maryland.

Brian Keith Brash (Age 33 of Broomes Island, Md.) was arrested for Failure to Appear in the Circuit Court. The case is related to Child Support.

Jeffery Scott Kreitzer (Age 49 Charlotte Hall) was charged on a Criminal Summons with Assault Second Degree. The incident occurred in Anne Arundel County. The charges alleged that the victim suffered two black eyes and two of her front teeth knocked out as a result of the assault. Deputy Chris Byrd was the officer who served the Summons.

LaKeisha Inez Mackall (Age 19 of Huntingtown, Md.) was arrested on an open Calvert County warrant for numerous charges to include Theft Scheme and Forgery. The warrant was served by Deputy Timothy White.

Ilea Rose Rodgers (Age 22 of Hollywood, Md.) was arrested and charged with Violation of Probation. The warrant was through the Circuit Court of Calvert County and served by Deputy William Watters.

Robert Eugene White (Age 42 of Great Mills) was charged on a Criminal Summons with Assault Second Degree b Deputy Robert Gill.

Tifine Nicole Barner (Age 21 of Hollywood, Md.) was arrested after a fight outside a local bar. Deputy Patrick Handy arrested Suspect Barner and charged her with Assault Second Degree and Disorderly Conduct.

Deputy Sarah Lacey was on Patrol in a Hollywood neighborhood and observed David Wayne Himes Jr. (Age 19 of Hollywood) walking down the roadway with a street sign. Suspect Himes stole the sign for someone else who was returning to the State of Florida. He was charged and the sign was returned to St. Mary's County Roads.

On July 20, 2007, the Alcohol Enforcement Coordinator, Sr.Dfc Emory M. Johnson conducted an alcohol compliance operation. The compliance operation was conducted utilizing an individual under the age of 21 who entered alcohol establishments in an attempt to purchase alcohol. During the operation, eight businesses were checked with one business out of compliance. A clerk at Murphy's Town and Country Market in Avenue sold alcohol to the police operative. The clerk was issued a Civil Citation for furnishing an alcoholic beverage to a person under the age of 21. The compliance violation will be brought before the Alcohol Board for review.

July 21, 2007 at approximately 12:40 p.m., Corporal Edward Evans responded to a reported domestic dispute with a possible parental abduction in Callaway. The suspect vehicle was located exiting the parking lot in the area of Point Lookout Road and Piney Point Road. A vehicle stop was conducted and upon approaching the suspect vehicle he observed four adults (2 males/2 females) and one small child in a car seat.

All subjects inside the vehicle were uncooperative, yelling, and refused to cooperate. Corporal Evans attempted to detain the back seat passenger, Timothy Bush, and was assaulted in the process. An intense struggle ensued between Suspect Bush and Corporal Evans, as the three other occupants of the vehicle exited the vehicle.

The three occupants hindered the investigation as they tried to free Suspect Bush from apprehension. As a result of the struggle, a Signal 13 (Officer Needs Immediate Assistance) was broadcasted. Other officers began to arrive and assist, removing the other suspects from the struggle, placing them under arrest.

Suspect Timothy Bush (Age 20 of No Fixed Address) was finally placed in custody. He was charged with Assault Second Degree, Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer and Resisting Arrest.

Suspect Darien Bush (Age 20 of Leonardtown) fled the scene as other officers started to arrive. Officers pursued on foot and after another altercation, he was placed into custody. Suspect Darien Bush broke a Maryland State Troopers glasses during the altercation. Suspect Darien Bush gave a false name and was later found to be wanted on an Open Arrest through Charles County. Additional charges of Hindering, Property Destruction and Resisting Arrest were added.

Suspect Lisa Cheryette Armstrong (Age 41 of Waldorf) was placed under arrest. She was charged with Hindering, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest. A search revealed she had marijuana paraphernalia in her purse.

Shannon Nicole Stewart (Age 18 of Lexington Park) was arrested and charged with Hindering, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.

The child was located and turned over to the mother at the scene, unharmed.
