MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

On Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 9:17 am, TFC Linger initiated a traffic stop on Route 235 at Morganza Turner Road in Mechanicsville for an equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver, Ann Marie Keska, 47, Great Mills. During the course of the traffic stop, Ms. Keska was found to be in possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. Ms. Keska was arrested for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.

On Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 5:29 pm, TFC E. Evans responded to a disturbance at the Food Lion Store, 21600 Great Mills Road in Lexington Park. Upon arrival contact was made with the store security who advised Jessica Marie Braden, 23, of Lexington Park and Patricia Ann Bates. 23, of Lexington Park were detained for shoplifting. During the course of the investigation both individuals were charged on Criminal Citations with Theft Under $100 and released at the scene.

On Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 11:09 pm, TFC Nims initiated a traffic stop on a tan Chevrolet Caprice at Lincoln and Bristol Avenues in Lexington Park for exceeding the posted speed limit. Contact was made with the driver, Vanessa Renee Logan, 24, of Park Hall and a passenger, Thomas Alvin Campbell, 36, of Lexington Park. TFC Nims observed in plain view two zip lock bags containing trace amounts of cocaine. Ms. Logan was arrested for possession of CDS - marijuana, cocaine and paraphernalia. Mr. Campbell was arrested for possession of cocaine. Both subjects were transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.

On Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 5:53 pm, TFC E. Evans responded to a reported Burglary in the 48000 block of Leachburg Road in Lexington Park. Upon arrival contact was made with the male complainant who advised unknown suspect(s) burglarized his residence and took a Play Station console, games and several pieces of jewelry. The investigation continues.

On Friday, July 13, 2007 at 12:48 am, TFC Nims responded to a reported disturbance at the Days Inn Hotel, 21000 block of Three Notch Road in Lexington Park. Contact was made with the male complainant who advised Fredy Herman Eatman, II, 42, of Dameron broke the security window at the entrance to the hotel. Mr. Eatman was apprehended nearby and arrested for Malicious Destruction of Property and incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.

On Friday, July 13, 2007 at 7:07 pm, TFC Quade initiated a traffic stop on a silver Dodge Ram on Spring Valley Drive off Walnut Court in Lexington Park, due to the driver not being restrained by his seat belt. During the course of the traffic stop, a passenger, Charles Ray McElhaney, Jr., 23, of Lexington Park was charged with possession of CDS paraphernalia and a smoking device. Mr. McElhaney was issued a Criminal Citation and released at the scene. Another passenger, a 17 year old male juvenile was arrested for possession of CDS paraphernalia and transported to the Leonardtown Barrack where he was processed. He was later released to his mother pending further action by Juvenile Services.

On Friday, July 13, 2007 at 9:25 pm, Tpr. J. Pilkerton initiated a traffic stop on a brown Chevrolet Caprice to the rear of Raley's Furniture Store on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park for an equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver, Francis Leroy Biscoe, 56, of Lexington Park. During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Biscoe was arrested for possession of CDS paraphernalia, a glass CDS smoking device and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.

On Friday, July 13, 2007 at 9:49 pm, TFC Quade arrested a 17 year old male juvenile at the Leonardtown Barrack for Malicious Destruction of Property. The 17 year old juvenile was being released to his mother as a result of possessing CDS paraphernalia. When leaving the Leonardtown Barrack, the juvenile broke out the windshield of a silver Dodge Ram. He was charged with Malicious Destruction of Property. He was released to his mother at the scene pending further action by Juvenile Services.

On Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 4:18 am, Tpr. Adams responded to a reported Burglary 27000 block of Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville. Contact was made with the female complainant who advised unknown suspect(s) smashed the front glass door of the establishment and attempted to gain entry into the ATM cabinet. The suspect(s) fled the scene and the investigation continues.

On Sunday, July 15, 2007 at 1:58 am, TFC Nims initiated a traffic stop on a gold Mitsubishi Galant at Old Rolling Road and Route 235 in California for following another vehicle to close. Contact was made with the driver, Milford Anthwan Brooks, 47, of Lexington Park. During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Brooks was arrested for DUI/DWI. A search incident to arrest revealed a glass CDS smoking device was recovered from the vehicle. Mr. Brooks was also charged accordingly and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.

On Sunday, July 15, 2007 at 11:59 am, TFC Linger initiated a traffic stop on a green Honda Civic at Oaks Road and Charlotte Hall School Road in Charlotte Hall for an equipment violation. Contact was made with the driver, John Russell Cooley, Jr., 36, of Mechanicsville. A faint odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, marijuana was located in the vehicle. Mr. Cooley was arrested for possession of marijuana and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.

On Sunday, July 15, 2007 at 5 1:44 pm, TFC Linger responded to a reported Burglary in the 26000 block of N. Sandgates Road in Mechanicsville. Contact was made with the female complainant who advised unknown suspect(s) entered the shed and stole an orange and gray Husqvarna leaf blower and an orange Husqvarna Chainsaw, Model 455 Ranger. The investigation continues.

On Sunday, July 15, 2007 at 7:58 pm, Tpr. J. Pilkerton responded to the area of the CVS store on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park for possible CDS activity involving a male subject carrying a blue cooler. A search of the area revealed Fredy Herman Eatman, II, 42, of Dameron to the rear of Roses II carrying a blue cooler. During the course of the investigation Mr. Eatman was arrested for possession of a glass CDS smoking device with cocaine residue and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review.
